Data Security Policy
UChicago Impact employs a number of strategies to secure data and limit unnecessary access during the transfer (survey process), storage, and processing. We encrypt data in transfer as well as at rest, when it is being stored in their data repository. We change encryption keys on a regular basis to avoid stale credentials and unwanted legacy access. Data is regularly obfuscated for analytics and reporting purposes in aggregated, rolled up at the classroom, instructor, school or district level. UChicago uses data isolation and centralized oversight of user accounts and monitors access across our systems with auditable logs.

UChicago Impact, and its third-party development company, Caktus Group, will not make this information available to any other entity outside the University of Chicago, except as required for operational purposes or required by law.
